It kicked off with the much-anticipated Cantonese version of "I Am Who I AM," a touching story inspired by a popular animated film. This adaptation celebrates Lingnan lion dance culture and received rave reviews during its premiere at the Hong Kong Arts Festival.

In addition to domestic gems, the festival showcases renowned international acts from countries like Germany, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, South Africa, Australia, Hungary, Sweden, and Russia.

Highlight performances include the debut of the prestigious New York Philharmonic Orchestra, marking the beginning of its tour in China. Also on the lineup is "School of Rock," an electrifying musical by Andrew Lloyd Webber, acclaimed for its success on Broadway and in London's West End.

Audiences can also look forward to a fresh take on Agatha Christie's classic thriller "And Then There Were None," presented in an immersive play format from the UK. Another notable production is "The Life and Times of Michael K," based on the novel by Nobel Prize laureate J.M. Coetzee, offering a thought-provoking theatrical experience.

Beyond the performances, the Art Season serves as a platform for cultural exchange and appreciation, inviting both locals and visitors to immerse themselves in the vibrant arts scene of Guangzhou. With its rich array of performances and cultural offerings, the event promises to be a celebration of creativity and talent, showcasing the city's growing prominence on the global stage.
