A Cherry Blossom Festival is ongoing from March 11 to 19 at the Eighteen Arhats Mountain Forest Park (十八羅漢山森林公園) in Guangzhou’s Nansha District as the cherry blossoms are in full bloom, according to the Nansha’s Dagang Town government, the event’s organizer.

"We planted 312 Guangzhou Cherry Blossom Trees at the park in 2014 and 163 more this year. Now that we have 475 cherry blossom trees covering 20 thousand square meters of park, tourists can enjoy a better view of cherry blossoms," said Li Yaoxing, a staff member of the Dagang Town government.

Apart from cherry blossoms, tourists can also enjoy folk culture performances, and buy souvenirs which showcase intangible cultural heritage, locally produced agricultural products, and local snacks. There are also playgrounds for kids.
Located in the southeast of Dagang Town, Nansha District, the Eighteen Arhats Mountain Forest Park is a national 3A tourist attraction with a tourist trail of about 5 km, covering an area of about 3.37 square kilometers.

How to get there
1. Driving to "十八羅漢山森林公園停車場(chǎng)".
2. Take Guangzhou Metro Line 3, get off the train at Panyu Square Station (番禺廣場(chǎng)站), and exit from Exit C; take the Nansha No.65 Bus (南沙65路公交) from East Gate of District Government Station (區(qū)政府東門永旺夢(mèng)樂城站) to Dagang Police Station (大崗派出所站); walk to "十八羅漢山森林公園".
