A delegation of African-American businesswomen was in Guangzhou for a visit from March 9 to 10, one day after International Women's Day, aiming to promote people-to-people exchange between China and the US.
The delegation comprises more than 20 women, including senior lawyers, entrepreneurs, bankers, financiers, and journalists, who were led by Paula Madison, director of the Los Angeles - Guangzhou Sister City Association.
During the trip to Guangzhou, the delegation had friendly exchanges with representatives of female entrepreneurs in Guangzhou to enhance their understanding of the market environment, business culture, and opportunities on both sides.
Over the past two days, the delegation learned about the achievements of ecological construction, cultural heritage, and modernization development in Guangzhou.
Paula Madison said that her grandfather's hometown is Guangzhou, and coming to China is like coming home. She took it as an honor to lead this delegation to visit Guangzhou, to exchange with outstanding women entrepreneurs here, and to introduce more American friends to an open China.
She believes that through joint efforts, the friendly exchanges between Los Angeles and Guangzhou will be further promoted, and women entrepreneurs from the two countries will have more opportunities for cooperation.
