Guangzhou Development District / Huangpu District recently held a conference to advance new industrialization.
The district officially released the list of the first batch of new industrialization application scenarios enabled by artificial intelligence in 2024. There are a total of 50 scenarios in 9 major fields, including intelligent agriculture, intelligent energy, intelligent medical treatment, intelligent government affairs, intelligent education, intelligent city, intelligent transportation, intelligent park, and intelligent manufacturing.
During the conference, the district released 30 measures to promote the high-quality development of talent. Talent will receive subsidies of up to 5 million yuan for purchasing houses, up to 10 million yuan for entrepreneurship projects, and 10 million yuan for investment incentives.
"We will boost more new technologies, new products, and new equipment to be put into application and promoted in the district," said Xu Dan, deputy head of Huangpu District.
According to the Huangpu District government, there are 7174 industrial enterprises in Huangpu District, including 1325 industrial enterprises above the designated scale. In 2023, the output value of the advanced manufacturing industry in the district accounted for nearly 60% of the total industrial output value, and the investment in the high-tech manufacturing industry increased by 1.1 times.
Huangpu District recently released the "Plan for Accelerating the High-quality Construction of New Industrialization and Intelligent Manufacturing." The plan proposes that by 2027, significant progress will be made in new industrialization, with industrial added value accounting for 58% of GDP and advanced manufacturing output accounting for 65% of the output value of industries above the designated scale. The district aims to achieve new industrialization by 2035.
