I was born in Havana, Cuba. My mother manged to get us over to Spain for about 2 years, where
I learned to play and love soccer. After Spain, I came to New Jersey, where I graduated with a BFA in
illustration from New Jersey City University and got some experience by working in several small
advertising agencies.
After years of putting up with cold weather, I moved to Orlando, Florida. I have worked for a children's
book publisher and packager where I was able to develop my skills in digital illustration.
For seven years I worked at Disney, designing and illustrating art for the merchandise sold exclusively
at Disney Theme Parks worldwide. One of the big projects that I contributed to was the grand opening
artwork for Hong Kong Disneyland. I am currently working as a Graphic Artist in the marketing
department of Scholastic Book Fairs.
I have done freelance for many different markets, such as publishing, gaming, advertising, merchandise, etc. Although
I was trained traditionally, I now do all my art in Photoshop. Well, I sketch with a pencil, but all the color is digital.
I still love to play and watch soccer and I continue to be a Giants fan from my days in New Jersey.
I also love to play chess.
